Sourcing Quick Scan: where do you stand?

Thirteen short statements across five themes. Answer honestly and instantly see how mature your IT sourcing is — and where the quickest wins are.

Overview & registration

We have an up-to-date, central overview of all IT contracts, owners and renewal dates.

Notice periods and renewals are tracked in time — no automatic roll-overs.

Sourcing strategy

For our key IT services we have deliberately decided what to keep in-house and what to outsource.

Our sourcing choices are linked to our business goals and reviewed periodically.

Procurement & AI

Our IT procurement and tenders follow a structured, tender-proof process.

For new SaaS/AI we determine the risk class up front and include AI clauses and EU AI Act requirements.

We record which AI our vendors buy in from third parties (subcontracting).

Vendor & contract management

We actively manage the performance (KPIs/SLAs) of our key vendors.

We have a grip on IT/SaaS costs and use savings opportunities at renewals.

Vendor management sits in fixed, transferable processes — not dependent on one person.

Compliance & risk

We demonstrably meet requirements like ISO 27001 and GDPR across the sourcing chain.

Where relevant, DORA/operational resilience is secured with our critical vendors.

We have an audit-ready file per vendor or contract.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What if the assignment is bigger than one person?

Then Bob brings in experienced IT buyers and vendor managers from his network, under his lead and with the same way of working. You keep one contract and one point of contact, and you see in advance who is coming.

Do you sell software or licences yourselves?

No. Digital Sourcing is fully independent — we have no stake in any vendor or solution, so the advice stays objective.

What's the difference with VendorManager.nl?

Digital Sourcing provides advice and procurement on a project basis. Ongoing vendor management & governance runs continuously through VendorManager.nl, our subscription-based Vendor & AI Control Tower.

What about the Dutch DBA Act / false self-employment?

We deliver a service, not staffing. Assignments run through Digital Sourcing B.V. with fixed, transferable processes and clear deliverables — not open-ended hourly hire. That also holds when more people from the network work on an assignment: one assignment, one contractor.

Do you also work with European tenders and the public sector?

Yes — extensive experience with European tenders in government, education and regulated sectors, alongside the private sector.

How quickly will I see results?

A first overview of contracts and risks is usually ready within a few weeks; a full engagement is tailored to your situation.

What does it cost?

It depends on the format: Online Advice per question, projects tailored to scope, interim by arrangement. An introductory call is always free.
